What Is TB-500?

TB-500 is a synthetic research compound based on the active region of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a peptide found naturally in the body. Tβ4 is a 43-amino-acid peptide that plays a role in cell migration, angiogenesis and inflammation regulation. TB-500 mimics the short, actin-binding sequence of this peptide.

  • Actin sequestration — TB-500’s most characteristic effect is binding to actin, the main building block of the cytoskeleton. This enables rapid cytoskeletal reorganization and facilitates the migration of cells to damaged tissue.
